Telephone Service
On Campus - Residence Hall and Campus Village Apartments
The phone service in your room will be operational for local calls only. You will need to buy an inexpensive telephone at Wal-Mart, Meijer's, Target, or Service Merchandise ($10 or more). "Phone Cards" can be purchased for international/long distance calling at Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreen's, Rite-Aid or on the internet.
Off Campus
Rental houses have local telephone service and telephones. "Phone Cards" can be purchased for international/long distance calling at Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreen's, Rite-Aid.or on the internet.
Public telephones are available in the Great Court of the Campus Center.
International Long Distance Calls
In order to call out of the country, you must learn your country's international access code. You can find the code in the front pages of the Greater Flint Telephone Book. To place an international call - Dial 011 plus country code (Germany "49") plus telephone number.
