SAE Educational Partnership
Attendees of SAE seminars and Engineering Academics may now be able to apply their course work toward a master's of science degree from Kettering University and may also earn a certificate in Automotive Systems along the way!
If admitted to Kettering's Graduate Program, SAE students may apply up to 80 hours of SAE coursework or the equivalent of 8-credits toward Kettering's 40-credit MS in either Automotive Systems or Mechanical Cognate. Up to 80 hours or the equivalent of 8-credits may also be applied toward a 20-credit certificate of completion in Automotive Systems with only a bachelor's degree in Engineering. The certificate is a credential designed as an interim step toward the master's degree or for individuals who value the certificate but are not necessarily in need of an entire graduate degree. Nearly all of the SAE's technical seminars and academies are approved as transferable for either the certificate or graduate degree option.
Kettering offers courses for both the graduate degree and the certification program at their Flint campus, SAE Headquarters located in Troy, MI, or via distance learning through CD-ROM or video-streaming. (** Note ** - Some classes applicable to the Automotive Systems Certificate Program are offered on campus only.)
If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Kimberly Raup in Kettering University's Graduate Studies Department via email at graduatestudies@kettering.edu or by phone at (810) 762-7960.
