Course Description:

Macromedia FLASH is a very powerful, yet reasonably simple software, which can enable a developer (novice to expert) to animate essentially whatever he or she desires on the internet (2 dimensions only). Because the FLASH player is a standard “plug-in” in almost all web browsers, it is the best possible software to use for internet animation projects.

 

This is the first of several seminars that will be offered . Through these seminars, the student will progressively learn the how to program effectively in the FLASH environment.

 

Course Objectives:

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1)         Create basic shapes in the FLASH environment.

2)         Import graphics into FLASH.

3)         Use and understand the FLASH stage, timelines, and layers.

4)         Create reusable objects (or instances), which can be utilized within the FLASH environment via the FLASH library

5)         Create simple animations with end-user interactivity.

6)         Use shape and motion “tweening” to easily create extraordinary visual effects in the FLASH environment.

7)         Transfer the FLASH animation onto a basic web page.

8)         As a final “project, the student will create his of her own specialized interactive FLASH animation.
