This course discusses the principles of lean product design and engineering. It deals with creativity in design, Lean design and engineering, Design synthesis, and continuous improvement. The effect of each of these principles on the engineering design process, the final product and customer satisfaction is studied. The development and management of an engineering design/development/validation process based on these principles are discussed along with several examples.
