Roof of the World!

Dave Arnett ’84 fulfilled a dream that he kept to himself since the early 1990s when he took up mountain climbing: to summit Mt. Everest. Thanks to the strong support of his wife and family, as well as his employer Intel Corp., he stood on top of the world this past May, marveling at the astounding view and thankful for all his blessings.

The Greening of Diesel

Working on making diesel engines more environmentally friendly and efficient, Dr. Bassem Ramadan and two graduate students are researching improvements to the insulation on diesel catalytic converters and adding urea to the exhaust system to reduce NOx emissions.

Kettering’s 2007 Sustainable Energy Pre-College program exposed a group of high school students to the idea of why it’s important to seek new energy alternatives and prevent further environmental damage.

Kettering University has retained its #1 ranking for Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) and continues to be ranked in the Top Twenty in the nation in the 2008 edition of "America's Best Colleges Guide," which is published by "U.S. News & World Report."
